Now don't pretend you haven't missed this thread. I always tried to be balanced with it but found that my hatred of the Slob made that hard and my boredom with the football made it more and more difficult to find positives. But new enthusiasm, new excitement and new optimism means you'll get your wish of more of these threads.
Positives:
His appointment has united all true West Ham fans with a sense of excitement that has long been missing. One of the things I wanted from the new manager was to unite the fans and he was one of a few that could do that - also think it important we have a man in charge that gets a honeymoon period, we've not had that for the last few.
A man who while only having been here for a year before clearly gets us. He came across better in one interview than the slob did in his whole time. That counts for a lot in my book.
He sports a beard well. Will smarten up the touchline by miles.
He isn't the slob that shall no longer be named
Fordy and comma hate him
Negatives:
Who cares - Fordy hates him. That's enough to wipe out any negatives!

The biggest positive is reading that Bilic was up on the whole squad, what players he likes and what areas he thinks needs improving, and that the owners were impressed with that. I don’t for one second think that is telling us what we want to hear, I reckon he knows exactly what needs to be done with the squad. It also shows how much he wanted the job.
The negative is Glenn Rodent’s mate, who is an Arsenal fan, thinking this is a bad move for us. DEATH knell.

Positives.
1. He's a tough fucker, will take no shit from players.
2. Comes across as honest too. If WHU play awfully, he'll admit it and own up to his own mistakes.
3. Well connected.
4. Not a journeyman manager (yet!). This is what slightly concerned me about Benitez. Slaven has much to prove.He'll work his balls off to do it.
5.He plays guitar and is a qualified lawyer.
6. He will bring back PASSION.

Loves Rock Music. The chap got class.

Positive = Its not ANOTHER season of bullshit from the SLOB'S gob
Positive = fresh air in the team, around the ground and inside our famous bubbles
Negative = the zillion self appointed experts constantly bleating their ego-filled ramblings in the media. Need to close ranks and not care about them...

I now have to say that I got what I wished for, so do I have to now be careful?
I wanted to see Bilic appointed when Zola was sacked, so my wish has finally been granted. I agree with all the comments that in the very first interview he has gone out of his way to say the things he knows the fanbase want to hear - unlike the previous incumbent who seemed to revel in rubbing everyone the wrong way.
The obvious negatives are his lack of experience at Premier level management, and no great success at club level.
But he looks right and feels right, come on 2015/16!!

He has played at the top level internationally
He got Laurent Blanc sent off
He understands The fans and whats expected
intelligent and speaks a few languages
minor negative maybe i wont be able to pronounce alot of his signings and names on shirts will cost a fortune!
